A body of a dead man was found in one Apple Valley neighborhood, according to authorities, who have launched an investigation.

On Monday morning, Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station officials received a report of a body found in the 16200 block of Pauhaska Road, a sheriff official reported.

Residents in the neighborhood came upon an unresponsive man and called 911, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez.

Deputies responded and determined the identified man was dead. Specialized Investigations personnel responded and conducted an investigation, which is ongoing.

The cause and manner of death are pending the outcome of an investigation by the Sheriff-Coroner's Office, which on Tuesday had not released details
