UPDATE: Man found down near Jack in the Box killed in hit-and-run crash

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — An investigation is underway after a body was found on Wednesday near a Jack in the Box in the Tierrasanta neighborhood, police said.

Around 12:30 p.m., authorities received a call about a person down in the 10800 block of Tierrasanta Boulevard, the San Diego Police Department confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI.

Gate security barrier deployed at Naval Base San Diego

When first responders arrived on scene, the person down was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The person’s cause of death is unknown at this time.
