Body found at Rocky Neck State Park

May 10—EAST LYME — A body of a man was found Saturday night at Rocky Neck State Park.

Will Healey, spokesperson for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, said the body was found in the area of West Beach. Investigators have not yet released the man's name or age pending notification of next of kin, Healey said.

The park was closed until Sunday morning as DEEP Environmental Conservation Police and state police investigated.

According to state police, the investigation is being led by the major crimes unit. No further information was available from state police Sunday.
