  • Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Prince William attended their first group event since Christmas on March 5, 2019.

  • A body language expert says they were "distant," and that Meghan was isolated.

Yesterday, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Prince William were seen together for the first time since their church outing at Christmas. But according to body language expert Judi James, the vibes were...weird.

Instead of displaying a clear show of solidarity like they did over the holidays (during peak ~royal feud~ season), Judi says Meghan and Harry were removed from the group and "put in a corner." You can see what she's talking about in this video:

"The two women used wide smiles and some tactile behavior [at Christmas] in a bid to put rumors of a rift to bed once and for all, which makes their rather distant behavior here all the more curious," Judi explains. "Queueing for the meet and greet, Harry and Meghan stood behind William and Kate and although the husbands spoke to their wives there seemed to be no sign of and of Harry and William's usual banter or chat."

Judi also noted that Harry "looks grim-faced," and Meghan seemed "rather isolated." But this may have been a conscious decision to put the focus on Charles.

"It could have been that the decision was made to make the celebration about Charles rather than a soap opera about Kate and Meghan," Judi said. "But it would have been great to see a happier and more easygoing-looking family group pose from the event."
