A Body Language Expert Noticed Legit Cracks In Jade Roper And Tanner Tolbert's Marriage

Let’s face it, there isn’t much consistency in Bachelor nation. No matter how many seasons I commit to (*cough* all of them) or how many couples I root for (*cough* none of them—JK obviously), only a few actually stay together, let alone start families.

One of the select couples who managed to do the d*mn thing, however, are Jade and Tanner, who met on 2015’s season two of Bachelor in Paradise for a—*Chris Harrison voice*—“second chance at love.” After losing on their respective seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, they found true love during a very humid stay in Mexico, surrounded by a bunch of other former Bach contestants who were there to date each other and, ya know, argue. If finding love in that environment isn’t impressive, I don’t know what is.

Even Tanner himself recognized the odds. During his proposal to Jade, he admitted that he really came on Paradise for the free drinks but ended up falling hard for her. A year later, in 2016, the two exchanged vows at their super-luxe, super-sponsored, super-televised wedding. Two months later, however, they learned that marriage isn’t always paradise. The couple landed on Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars, where Jade asked Tanner to open up emotionally and Tanner confessed he didn’t consider Jade a teammate. (Ouch.)

Nowadays, with their marriage back on track and their second child on the way, Jade and Tanner are going strong—or at least, that’s what Instagram has led fans to believe.
