Watch Boeing’s massive Dreamliner fly over Harbour Town during Saturday’s RBC Heritage

One of the highlights for players and fans at the Heritage golf tournament on Hilton Head is the annual Boeing flyover.

A Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner flew over the 18th fairway at Harbour Town Golf Links around 4 p.m. on Day 3 of tournament play at the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing.

The flight, as always, is dependent on the weather, but a clear and sunny forecast from the National Weather Service in Charleston proved to be true, and the flight was right on time.

Boeing has been the golf tournament’s presenting sponsor for 12 years.

The jet on Saturday was piloted by Boeing captains Klas Ohman and Ryan Murphy, along with flight test engineer Courtney Buley.

The jet is outfitted for EVA Air, an airline based in Taipei that serves 60 international destinations in Asia, Oceania, Europe and North America.

EVA Air has 11 787 Dreamliners in its fleet and recently announced orders for five more.

The 787 family of aircraft is assembled exclusively in North Charleston, and the 787-10 is 224 feet long and has a wingspan of 197 feet, according to previous reporting. The jet can seat up to 336 passengers.
