Bogus Basin unveils ‘towering’ challenge course. Here’s when you can try it out
Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area announced a new summer attraction Friday: a challenge course featuring zip lines, cargo climbing nets and more.
In a news release, officials said the course, called the Mineshaft, opens Saturday. Visitors can book 90-minute sessions, which cost $39 for ages 13 and up and $34 for kids ages 7 to 12.
According to the release, the “towering” challenge course is 55 feet tall and comprises three levels. Each level has different obstacle elements, including ladder bridges and balancing features. When visitors complete the level, they can return to the ground with a belay device or by sliding down 180- and 160-foot zip lines.
The attraction is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Mineshaft is the newest addition to Bogus Basin’s summer options. In the last several years, the Boise-area mountain has added dozens of miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, a mountain coaster, bungee jumping, rock climbing and disc golf.
