Boil water advisory issued for multiple Pittsburgh neighborhoods after water main break
A boil water advisory is in place for multiple Pittsburgh neighborhoods after a water main break.
The Pittsburgh Water and Sewage Authority said an 8-inch water main broke on Steuben Street at around 8:15 p.m. Thursday.
Water pressure was affected in Elliott, Westwood, Ridgemont and Crafton Heights.
Crews were able to restore water pressure at around 8:30 p.m.
The advisory is in effect to protect approximately 600 homes from contaminants that may have entered the water when pressure was low.
Water buffaloes will be available on:
1110 Steuben Street
Hamburg Street at Springfield Street
Lorenz Avenue at Rue Grande Vue
1717 Hethlon Street
