The alerts were issued in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, Lauderdale County, Mississippi, Walls, Mississippi, and Friendship, Tennessee.

Officials in Helena-West Helena and Lauderdale County say the notice was issued due to low water pressure.

The water company in Walls said the notice was used due to loss of water caused by freezing temperatures.

The alert in Friendship was issued out of caution for the next 24 hours after a leak was repaired, according to the Crockett County Emergency Management Agency. They are also asking residents to avoid washing clothes and taking baths or showers to conserve water for the next 18 hours, but continue dripping faucets to help restore reserves.

Lauderdale County Water System says they will supply bottled water to customers in the affected areas in the county. It can be picked up at the Water Department at 551 Central Curve Road until another location is set up. Those who are unable to pick up water due to an emergency or disability can call 731-460-2854.
