Boil water notice issued for subdivision Wells Landing in Livingston

LIVINGSTON, Texas (KETK) — According to Lake Livingston Water Supply Corporation, Wells Landing has been issued a boil water notice due to a line break.

People are encouraged to boil their water prior to consumption, especially for children, seniors and persons with weakened immune systems who are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria.

The water supply corporation encourages people to boil and cool their water prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. Water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.

People can also purchase bottled water or obtain water from another source.

The company said once the boil notice is no longer necessary, they will notify customers that the water is safe for human consumption.
