Bokser Home recalls mattress pads due to fire hazard

(WAVY) — Bokser Home has recalled all sizes of its 100% cotton mattress pads manufactured after Oct. 2022 because they are in violation of the mandatory federal flammability regulation for mattress pads, posing a fire hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The commission called for the recall Jan. 18. It noted the quilted box stitch pattern mattress pads have a 100% cotton shell and fill, and the retailer’s name, manufacturer and date of manufacture are printed on a label on the mattress pad.

It said people should stop using the recalled mattress pads immediately, and to contact Bokser Home, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, for a full refund.

People who purchased the mattress pads will be asked to destroy the product by cutting it with scissors and sending Bokser Home a photo of the destroyed mattress pad at support@bokserhome.com. It said that when the company receives the photo, people will be issued a full refund of the purchase price.

The product, manufactured in China, has been sold at numerous stores, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy’s and Target from November 2022 through Oct. 2023 for between $25 and $145.
