BOLD narrows superintendent search to two

May 19—OLIVIA — BOLD School District board members have narrowed their superintendent search to two finalists.

After interviewing four candidates on Tuesday, school board members agreed to bring back two of the candidates for a second interview on Thursday.

Board members will interview Jim Menton, BOLD High School principal, at 6 pm. Thursday and Patrick Beiermann, assistant elementary principal for Willmar Public Schools, at 7:15 p..m. Thursday.

Along with the two, school board members interviewed Cori Reynolds, community education director for Brainerd Public Schools, and John Willey, superintendent/principal for the Ellsworth School District, on Tuesday afternoon.

Board members invited community members from the district to participate in the interview process.

School board members are seeking a successor to Superintendent Dale Brandsoy, who will be retiring from a 38-year career in education at the end of June.
