The cast for The Bold Type have reunited, with the three lead stars taking snaps as they holidayed together.

The comedy-drama might have ended in 2021, but the cast have remained close ever since, with Meghann Fahy, Katie Stevens and Aisha Dee all reuniting for a trip to Lisbon, Portugal.

“Where you been loca” wrote Dee on Instagram, with the post including numerous photos of the trio as they enjoyed their trip. The actor, who played Kat on the show, uploaded a follow-up post with Fahy, where she wrote “Mr & Mrs Fahy.”

Fahy, who played fashion stylist Sutton, posted an image of the group as they enjoyed some food, with the star remarking: “Been a minute but still relying on katie to tell us where to eat.”

The Bold Type followed the lives of Sutton, Kat and Jane (Stevens) as they navigated their lives in New York City alongside their jobs at fashion magazine Scarlet. The show ran for five seasons before its conclusion, but has since found a new lease of life after being acquired by BBC iPlayer.

“We are delighted that these two series [The Bold Type and Bad Behaviour] are joining our BBC Three and iPlayer line-up,” said Sue Deeks, BBC Head of Programme Acquisition. “They are very different in tone, but both feature characters that viewers will empathise and engage with as they deal with the complexities of life.”

Whilst Fahy, Dee and Stevens fronted the series, co-star Nikohl Boosheri expressed her delight at the show being granted a proper conclusion, with the actor revealing she wasn’t always certain the characters would be given a proper send-off.

“I was really surprised and pleased [it was ending], because the show had kind of gotten shut down due to COVID last year,” she said. “So we didn't know if the show was coming back, if we were going to be able to finish those last two, and what the deal was.”

The Bold Type streams on BBC iPlayer.
