Bond questions -- what else is on the Nov. 7 ballot?

Oct. 30—Take a look at your ballot, and you'll find more than City Council and school board candidates.

Come Nov. 7, voters will decide on seven general obligation bond questions relating to public safety, affordable housing, parks and more. In total, $200 million in bonds, voted on by City Council in April in a capital improvement plan, are waiting for voter approbation via ballot box.

Street and transportation projects are set to receive the largest chunk at $50 million. That includes $4.3 million to rebuild major streets and intersections — $1 million of which is headed for the intersection of Paseo Del Norte and Unser and McMahon.

A $35 million parks and recreation question will bring an additional wave of funding to the North Domingo Baca Aquatic Center. The center, which is estimated to cost between $56 and $58 million, would be close to fully funded with the approval of the bond.

Here are the seven bond questions and a few notable projects associated with them, although the breakdown isn't set in stone.

The projects voted on by City Council in April are grouped by purpose into the 7 questions — funding for one project can be moved to another within the same grouping, if Council approves the change.
