Only Channel 11 was there as Brayden Edwards, 22, appeared in court. Edwards’ bond ended up being reduced to $75,000.

Butler County District Attorney Rich Goldinger said that in exchange for waiving the preliminary hearing which allowed the victim to not have to testify, the bond was reduced, but they put additional bond conditions that were not in place before.

Goldinger said if Edwards bails out, he’s under pre-trial supervision.

He will be on house arrest with electronic monitoring and is not allowed to contact the victim.

“The safety of our students is a top priority. We are cooperating fully with the investigation and will continue to work to ensure our schools are a safe environment for all students,” Karns City superintendent Eric Ritzert said.
