Jun. 10—WINDSOR LOCKS — Both polling places are open until 8 tonight for residents to vote on whether the town should appropriate $1.8 million for various infrastructure improvements.
The improvements range from road upgrades, resurfacing, and infrastructure such as storm drains and sewers below the roads in the area of Grove, West, and Spring Street, First Selectman J. Christopher Kervick said.
The total amount being considered for appropriation is $1,815,000.
The ballot question reads:
"Shall the town of Windsor Locks appropriate $1,815,000 for various town fiscal year 2022 roadway infrastructure improvements including sanitary sewer improvements and drainage improvements and authorize the issue of bonds and notes in the same amount to finance and appropriation?"
Polling places are:
District 1 — Town Hall, 50 Church St.
District 2 — Windsor Locks High School, 58 S. Elm St.
