Book giveaway Thursday at Medford high schools
Feb. 25—Medford School District students in kindergarten through sixth grade can pick up a free book (English or Spanish) and a treat from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at North and South Medford high schools.
The book giveaway marks the culmination of a community service project conducted jointly by Honor Society students from both high schools.
The students have collected thousands of books since starting the project in January, including some purchased by Merete Hotel Group and three boxes of new books donated by a local author.
About 12 high school students helped sort the books for the event, and another 10 will help at the event.
