Boone County COVID-19 vaccine tracker: 61% of people fully vaccinated

Some 61% of people living in Boone County are fully vaccinated as of Jan. 18, according to data from Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).

Missouri reported 1,209,665 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 7% from the week before.

Boone County has one of the five highest percentages of their population fully vaccinated in Missouri as of Jan. 18.

The others in the top five are Jasper County (72%), St. Louis County (61%), St. Charles County (61%) and Pulaski County (58%).
