Bootsy Collins, the legendary funk musician from Cincinnati, released a groovy new holiday single and music video today.

The song and video titled "Boot-A-Claus: Here 4-A-Reason," features several artists, including Gary “G7” Jenkins, front-man for the R&B group Silk.

"We call this 'a Boot-A-Claus Christmas celebration,'" Collins, who rocked a Ja'Marr Chase jersey in the video, said in a statement. "We look at this as being the power of the one. No matter what or who you believe in, we come together as one.”

The song is part of Collins' upcoming compilation album, "Funk Not Fight," which is slated to release in 2023. According to a press release, it aims to promote peace, reduce violence and spread joy through the power of music. The album will feature collaborations with various artists, such as Zapp, Hi-Tek and Steve Lacy.
