Believe it or not, it's been more than a year since Prime Minister Boris Johnson and now-wife Carrie announced the arrival of their son, Wilfred Johnson. But you had better believe it's been that long - turns out little Wilfred is no longer a tiny baby, but is instead morphing into a fully-fledged toddler with a mop of cute, blonde curly hair.

On Thursday this week, Boris and Carrie were photographed meeting the US President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr Jill Biden in Cornwall, on the eve of the G7 summit. During the day, Carrie and Jill managed to take some time out to paddle on the beach together with little Wilfred, who has rarely been seen in public since his birth last April.

In one picture, shared by the First Lady on Twitter, the two women can be seen walking in flip flops on the sand, with Carrie Johnson carrying her young son on her hip. You can only catch a glimpse from behind, but Wilfred looks adorable in just a navy t-shirt and a nappy, his long hair blowing in the wind.

Jill Biden posted the photograph alongside the words: "It was wonderful to spend some time with Carrie Johnson and her son, Wilfred, today. The special relationship continues."

Joe and Jill Biden are over in the UK for the G7 summit, but during their trip they will also meet the Queen for afternoon tea at Windsor Castle. Yesterday, the President and the Prime Minister met for their first face-to-face talks since Biden was inaugurated in January this year. Boris Johnson spoke of the countries' "an indestructible relationship" afterwards.

The unusual family photos of Carrie and Wilfred come shortly after Boris and Carrie (née Symonds) got married last month. The couple tied the knot secretly in a small ceremony at Westminster Cathedral, followed by a 30-person reception in the garden of Downing Street. Carrie rented her dress, a Christos Costarellos gown, for the occasion. Boris Johnson became the first Prime Minister to get married while in office in nearly 200 years.

The couple welcomed their first child together, Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson, on April 29 last year. Baby Wilfred arrived just a couple of weeks after his dad was released from hospital, having been treated in intensive care for COVID-19. The newborn went on to be named after both Boris and Carrie's grandfathers, as well as two doctors who treated the Prime Minister in hospital while he had coronavirus.

Boris Johnson has four other children with his ex-wife Marina Wheeler, who go by the names of Lara Lettice, Milo Arthur, Cassia Peaches and Theodore Apollo, as well as another daughter named Stephanie, who was born in 2009 to Helen Macintyre.
