Bossier wins the 2022 Water Tank of the Year competition

Early in Oct. Bossier City Mayor Tommy Chandler began asking citizens in the Northwest Louisiana area to vote for the city's water tower for the People's Choice Water Tank of the Year contest. On Thursday, their efforts were recognized.

On Oct. 27, Tnemec Company Inc. announced that Bossier City is the winner in the 2022 Tank of the Year competition.

Over 350 water tanks were nominated with thousands of online votes cast from across the U.S. and Canada.

The finalist tanks were chosen by a panel of water tank enthusiasts based on criteria such as artistic value, the significance of the tank to the community and challenges encountered during the project.

Bossier City water tanks are known for their hometown spirit with designs that feature the American flag and B-52 on top.
