Boston Bruins honor Rehoboth teen killed in crash last weekend
The Boston Bruins are honoring the Rehoboth teen who was killed in single-vehicle crash last weekend.
The team shared a video on Twitter of them hanging up a jersey with the name Quinn on the back.
The single-vehicle crash in Berkley, Massachusetts, happened around 7:30 a.m. on January 15, in the vicinity of 76 Myricks Street.
Dylan Quinn, was a passenger in a Mazda pickup truck being operated by a 16-year-old male friend, the district attorney’s office said. When first responders arrived, they found that the vehicle had rolled onto its roof in the middle of the street. Quinn was rushed to Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where he was pronounced deceased, authorities said.
Quinn was the goalie for the Bristol-Plymouth Hawks. The team returned to the ice this weekend for the first time since the accident. The coach for the team says Quinns loss has been incredibly hard for his team.
“They’re doing better it’s taking some time, it’ll be a long road for them but they seem to be doing a lot better, they all wanted to play,” the coach said.
Quinn would volunteer at several Bruins clinics over the years. The jersey the Bruins hung up features Quinns high school number, 33.
