- Boston paying special tribute to actor Leonard Nimoy, best known for his role, of course, as Spock on "Star Trek."

Mayor Walsh has declared Nimoy's birthday, March 26, as Leonard Nimoy Day in the city. Nimoy, who died in 2015, was born in Boston's West End neighborhood. The mayor says he, quote, "brought honor upon his native city and gave the immigrant and refugee and the oppressed--

--a hero for the outsider." Nimoy died back in 2015. This year, he would have turned 90.
