Bottle Hurled at Police as Barcelona Street Party Shut Down
Police in Barcelona were booed and had a bottle thrown at them as they moved to disperse revellers gathered at the city’s historic Passeig del Born on July 10.
This footage by Edorta Moreno shows people, some drinking, gathered in close proximity of each other despite COVID-19 restrictions. As motorcycle police move through the crowd, some of the revellers boo, with one hurling a bottle.
The police actions were part of an ongoing joint law enforcement operation to enforce coronavirus restrictions as Spain continues to grapple with the pandemic.
