Boulder announces New Year's holiday closures

Dec. 29—All Boulder administrative facilities and offices will close at noon on Friday and remain closed through Monday in observance of the New Year's Day holiday.

The main branch of the Boulder Public Library and the East Boulder Recreation Center are currently closed and will remain closed through Monday.

The library, at 1001 Arapahoe Ave., is closed because of methamphetamine contamination and a reopening date has yet to be set. The East Boulder Recreation Center is closed for cleaning after its emergency use as a warming center and will reopen Tuesday.

On Friday, both Age Well Centers will be closed all day. Branch libraries and the north and south recreation centers will be open normal hours Friday.

On Saturday, the North Boulder Recreation Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All other city facilities, including libraries, will be closed.

On Sunday, the North Boulder Recreation Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to host the New Year's Fitness Jam.

On Monday, the north and south recreation centers will be open normal hours. All other city facilities, including libraries, will be closed.

Parking is free in city garages, parking lots and at on-street pay stations, from noon on Friday through Monday.
