Apr. 17—Boulder

30th Street: The right lane of 30th Street heading northbound will have intermittent lane closures between Walnut Street and Mapleton Avenue through July 2022 during construction of the Pollard Jeep site development. Arrow boards and signage will be used to direct traffic.

North Broadway: North Broadway will continue to accommodate two-way traffic between Violet Avenue and U.S. 36 during a potholing, boring and utility relocation project, but parking restrictions will be in place, and cyclists will have to merge with traffic through the construction area.


Hover Street: One northbound lane and one southbound lane of Hover between 10th Avenue and Purdue Drive is closed for a water transmission line repair project that's expected to last through April 21. Motorists will have to shift lanes.

County Line Road: The widening and installation of left-turn lanes and intersection improvements and other work on County Line Road between Ninth and 17th avenues is underway and scheduled to be completed in April.

Main Street (U.S. 287): The Colorado Department of Transportation is working on adding a northbound U.S. 287 lane between Pike Road and a point about 1,000 feet south of Pike Road and Main Street.

Boulder County

Jay Road: A roadway resurfacing between U.S.36/28th Street and Colo. 119 will begin Monday and is expected to last through June, with work to take place 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Travelers can expect delays in both directions as the road is reduced to one lane, often in multiple locations.

71st Street: 71st Street is closed in both directions between Glacier View Road and Winchester Circle. Access to businesses in the Gunbarrel Tech Center off Winchester Circle will be maintained from 71st Street via Colo. 52 on the north. The project is expected to last until June.

U.S. 287 and Isabelle Road: Isabelle Road will be completely closed to vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists between U.S. 287 and north 111th Street, starting Monday and expected to continue through May 15, for a safety improvements project at Isabelle's intersection with U.S. 287. Access and detour routes will be available from each side of the closure.

61st Street: A culvert replacement project is reducing 61st Street lanes between Jay and Valmont roads, with delays expected through May.

Baseline Road: A culvert replacement project is in progress on Baseline Road just east of Cherryvale Road. In addition, Xcel Energy will be working in the same area to replace some of its underground infrastructure. Work will take place between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Travelers along the road can expect lane closures and travel delays during working hours. A temporary traffic signal will be used at night and on weekends as the road will be reduced to one lane 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A full road closure may be necessary to perform certain aspects of the work. More information will be posted should the road need to be closed. The project is anticipated to last into later this spring or into the summer.


U.S. 287, Arapahoe Road: Improvements on the west side of the intersection at U.S. 287 and Arapahoe Road in the Colorado Department of Transportation highway right of way is underway as part of the Nine Mile Commercial Subdivision project. The initial construction will be demolition and grading activities followed by construction of the island and a turn signal and associated utilities. The construction will involve lane closures of the eastbound turn lane on Arapahoe Road onto southbound 287.
