Boulder, Louisville to host South Boulder Road meetings

Jan. 24—Two "pop-up" events are coming to Boulder County this weekend to give residents a chance to learn more about a South Boulder Road study that will address safety issues along the road.

The first event, in Louisville, will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Louisville Recreation and Senior Center, 900 Via Appia Way. Boulder's event will go from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the East Boulder Community Center, 5660 Sioux Drive.

At both events, people working on the study will talk with residents, answer questions and gather feedback.

The study is a joint effort between the Denver Regional Council of Governments, Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville, Boulder County and the Regional Transportation District. Its main goals include improving safety, reducing serious vehicle crashes, increasing connectivity and facilitating more reliable travel.

More information on the study is available at engage.drcog.org/south-boulder-road-study.
