Bourne Community Health Center now takes walk-ins for common sicknesses and minor injuries
BOURNE — A nonprofit community health center is now offering walk-in services at its Bourne office at 123 Waterhouse Road.
The walk-in services offered at Community Health Center of Cape Cod are meant to increase access to daily care for individuals in need on the Upper Cape and surrounding areas.
"We have walk-in services for Mashpee and Centerville residents, so we wanted to expand that access to the residents of the Upper Cape as well," said Morgan Nailor, advancement associate at Community Health Center of Cape Cod.
The walk-in service is for common ailments such as the flu, a cold or cough, a sore throat, any type of minor infections and other minor illnesses or injuries, Nailor said.
The walk-in service in Bourne is at the same address, in a space that was owned by a separate practice.
The existing office in Bourne is next door to the new walk-in service area. The walk-in area was previously owned by a separate practice.
The Bourne office already provides primary care, behavioral health care, dental care, gynecology, optometry, substance use disorder services, on-site affordable prescriptions and other services.
Community Health Center also provides walk-in care at 107 Commercial St. in Mashpee and 1185B Falmouth Road in Centerville.
The walk-in service at Bourne also includes access to a pharmacy.
The facility is open to both the public and Community Health Center patients and requires no appointments.
The services are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
