Bowl at Ballantyne lands Bossy Beulah’s Chicken Shack restaurant and more retailers

A popular Charlotte chicken restaurant, as well as a barbershop and gym, are opening at The Bowl at Ballantyne in south Charlotte.

Bossy Beulah’s Chicken Shack will open its sixth store, along with Raleigh-based Arrow – Cuts & Shaves and national gym [solidcore] next year as part of the Ballantyne Reimagined project, property developer Northwood Investors LLC said Wednesday in a news release.

“South Charlotte has been on our radar for expansion for some time now, but we hadn’t found the right location until The Bowl came around,” Bossy Beulah owner Jim Noble said in a statement.

The businesses join six others at the mixed-use retail, dining and entertainment area in Ballantyne, making The Bowl about 60% leased, Northwood said.

The Bowl at Ballantyne is a 20-acre project featuring more than 90,000 square feet of retail, a second apartment tower and new roads with a “Main Street” feel.
