Communities in 'set' status for Bowl Creek Fire north of Oracle Junction return to 'ready'
Communities put in SET status early Monday for the Bowl Creek Fire in Pinal County were placed back into READY status Monday evening.
The Bowl Creek Fire had threatened multiple communities as of Monday morning, as it burned near State Route 79 and State Route 77, northwest of Oracle Junction.
Officials said that the fire has burned about 1,000 acres, threatening power lines and infrastructure, and smoke is impacting surrounding highways.

The fire was active from Sunday night to Monday morning, according to officials. Three communities nearby were placed in a SET alert status as of Monday morning, but downgraded to READY status around 6 p.m.:
Oracle Junction
SaddleBrooke Ranch
Falcon Valley Ranch
