What bowl game will Louisville football play in? Here's what the experts predict

The Military Bowl? The Sun Bowl? Duke's Mayo Bowl?

Those were just a couple of the bowl games being thrown around in predictions surrounding Louisville football. The Cardinals have two more games slated this season — Saturday vs. NC State and Nov. 26 at their foes in Lexington, the Kentucky Wildcats — before bowl games come around in December. Bowl games will be announced Dec. 4.

Military Bowl vs. Tulane

The experts over at USA TODAY latest prediction says Louisville could face Tulane in the Military Bowl on Dec. 28. The Cards lead the all-time series record against the Green Wave 9-2.

Pinstripe Bowl vs. Iowa

Sports Illustrated predicts Louisville facing off with Iowa in the Pinstripe Bowl Dec. 29 on ESPN. This would be the first time Louisville and the Hawkeyes faced off.

Military Bowl vs. East Carolina

The Athletic predicts Louisville facing off with East Carolina in the Military Bowl Dec. 28, same day but different opponent from USA TODAY. Louisville holds the 6-4 all-time series record over the Pirates.

ESPN's toss-up

The experts over at ESPN have differing opinions on where Louisville would end up come bowl season. For Kyle Bonagura, the Cardinals will face ULCA Dec. 30 in the Sun Bowl. For Mark Schlabach, they would face Illinois Dec. 30 in the Duke's Mayo Bowl.

It would be the first matchup for the Cards against UCLA, but the Fighting Illini hold the 3-2 all-time series record over Louisville.
