BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN: Stat leaders from Alabama’s narrow win over Mississippi State

Nate Oats and the Alabama men’s basketball team improved to 18-2 on the season and 8-0 in SEC play with a narrow 66-63 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Tuscaloosa.

This is Alabama’s first game in conference play to be decided by single digits.

The Crimson Tide struggled to make shots from the field on Wednesday night, but fortunately for Alabama, they were able to make 19 of their 22 free throw attempts, which proved to be the deciding factor.

As a team, the Tide shot just 36.8% from the field and only connected on five of their 28 three-point attempts for an abysmal 17.9%.
