Boy, 11, donates lemonade stand earnings to LPD K-9s

Jul. 29—A local 11-year-old was making an impact on the Logansport community Friday morning after he decided to donate all his lemonade stand earnings to the Logansport Police Department K-9 fund.

Aiden Hall opened the stand two days ago and made nearly $100 each day, his step-dad, Josh Albright said. Hall decided to donate Friday's earnings to the LPD K-9 Fund because his father, Bryce Hall, was once part of the team.

"I kinda just felt like I wanted to donate money to LPD because their K-9's are really expensive," Hall said.

Cars pulled alongside George Street to purchase lemonade and snacks from Hall. He even had a visit from LPD officer Cody Scott and Detective Andrew Strong, who brought their patrol dogs Snupy and Arti along.

The donation campaign was announced on Facebook by Hall's mother, Adriana Albright. The post had over 260 shares as noon approached Friday.

Hall said he had raised over $50 dollars during the first hour of opening the lemonade stand.

"This is awesome," said his father Bryce Hall. "He had this idea all himself. He wanted to do a lemonade stand and donate to something and he thought of the LPD K-9 Fund and went with it."

"I think just the fact he thought of this on his own is really touching," said his stepmother, Elaine Hall.

When he isn't running the lemonade stand, the young entrepreneur and philanthropist enjoys playing video games and spending time with his parents.

He will be a student at the Columbia Sixth grade Academy this school year.

The lemonade stand is located at 2601 George St. across from the Neal Home.
