Boy, 13, killed in Portsmouth shooting that also injured 14-year-old girl
A 13-year-old boy was killed and a 14-year-old girl was injured early Sunday morning in Portsmouth, according to police.
It is unclear what happened in the 600 block of Rutter St.
Police said the Emergency Communication Center received a call at about 12:02 a.m. regarding two gunshot wound victims.
Police said both children were shot in the upper body. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The girl was taken to a local hospital with what officers described as “non-life-threatening” injures.
Police haven’t identified the children.
