Boy, 13, stabs his sister, 14, with steak knife in Queens home: NYPD

A 13-year-old boy repeatedly stabbed his 14-year-old sister in the chest in their Queens dining room, collapsing her lung, then called 911 to falsely report a break-in, police said Sunday.

The bloody sibling drama unfolded just after 7 p.m. Saturday in a house on 156th St. near 111th Ave. in Jamaica.

The younger teen stabbed his sister with a steak knife, then called police, but his sibling was able to tell cops what really happened, authorities said. The girl was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

He later told cops he did it because she was always yelling at him, according to police.

The siblings were home alone with their 8-year-old brother — their father was away, and their mother was working nearby — police said.

Cops got a search warrant and recovered the steak knife. The 13-year-old, whose name was not released because of his age, was charged with felony assault.

A neighbor, Kabuki Reid, said the family moved into the house about three years ago.

“It’s sad,” he said. “I always see the little boy in the back or riding his bike,” he said. “It’s really sad that happened. I hope the girl is fine.”

Reid speculated that one of the children in the home may be developmentally disabled.

“Sometimes I can hear him screaming in the backyard like someone is beating him and then when I look out there’s no one there,” he said. “He’s always like, ‘Ahhh,’ like something is happening to him.”
