Boy George has claimed he doesn't understand I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and that he feels he was portrayed in a "slightly one-dimensional" way.

The Culture Club singer was one of the contestants on the latest series of the ITV reality show, sharing the Aussie camp with the likes of Mike Tindall, Sue Cleaver and Matt Hancock.

He was the fourth star to be eliminated from the series, which was won by footy ace Jill Scott.

Speaking to Jackie Brambles on the Greatest Hits Radio show, he suggested that a lot of what went on in the jungle didn't get shown on screen.

"I don’t regret doing it, but I don’t necessarily understand the show," he said.

George, 61, went on: "We had such a laugh and there were some amazing conversations, there was a lot of intimacy."

"There was quite a limited narrative that went out there," added the star, whose real name is George O'Dowd.

"I mean you can’t spend 24 hours with someone and not have a decent conversation. I didn’t just talk about mushrooms!"

He continued: "One thing I am not is a one-dimensional human being and there was a slightly one-dimensional portrayal."
