Matt Hancock has kissed Boy George amid I’m a Celebrity feud rumours.

After the MP left camp - having finished third - and Jill Scott was crowned winner on Sunday night (November 27), George asked: “How much do you hate me, Matt? He hates me! Stupid people.”

A smiling Hancock, 44, then leaned towards the 61-year-old Culture Club musician and planted a kiss on his cheek as onlookers laughed.

George, 61, who seemed to have recorded the moment on his mobile phone, posted the clip on his Twitter page and captioned it: “Jungle is massive” and tagged the disgraced politician.

While George seemed to be keen to prove all was well between the pair following rift rumours, many fans failed to be impressed with the move, one replying: “You’ve changed your tune.”

“Rank”, stated another. While a third commented: “Yack. Sorry he kissed you... Congratulations on your jungle achievements.”

During their time together in the jungle, George made no secret of his dislike for Hancock and once told campmate Seann Walsh on camera: “I can’t stand Matt.

“I have tried to like him and I’ve failed. I find him slimy, I find him slippery.”

He later told the politician: “I have been hating on you, I have to be honest.

“I sometimes feel like you don’t say what you mean and you’re not particularly direct.”

He explained: “I’m trying to separate you as a human being and you as a politician, and I’m struggling with it.

“We don’t share the same politics. I am struggling a little bit with you.”

Hancock replied: “I’m just being me,” before saying that he was glad he’d come and spoken to him face to face and that he’d “enjoyed spending time” with the Karma Chameleon star.

George had also previously said he wasn’t sure if he could stay in camp with the Tory MP, as he recalled not being able to see his ill mother in hospital due to the MP’s rules at the time.

Their fellow campmates had also openly expressed their concerns about his participation on the show and quizzed Hancock about his breach of his own social-distancing rules during the pandemic.

However, the music legend has since insisted that, since their jungle chat, there’s no bad blood between the two and hit back at a fan on Twitter who said that he bullied Hancock.

“I think @MattHancock will say otherwise and many will have Ostrich Egg on their faces,” tweeted George.

“I treated him with absolute respect.

“I said what I needed to say and I made some fun digs but there was zero awkwardness. He appreciated my directness.”

In another tweet, he wrote: “Not everything is broadcast! I said plenty but in the end I did not want to bully Matt.

“He will not complain about me because I behaved like an adult.”
