DELRAY BEACH — An 82-year-old Boynton Beach woman was killed Friday afternoon in a two-car crash near the Morikami Museum in west Delray, police said Saturday.

Beverlee Bearman-Reiter was driving south on Jog Road at about 1:30 p.m. Friday in her 2012 Fiat 500 when she turned left at the intersection with Morikami Park Road, a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report said. As she made her turn, Bearman-Reiter traveled into the path of a 2007 Lexus driven by Scott Florent, 30, of Boca Raton, who was traveling north on Jog Road at the time.

The front of Florent’s Lexus hit the front of Bearman-Reiter's Fiat in the subsequent collision, deputies said. Bearman-Reiter was taken to Delray Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 2:19 p.m.

Florent sustained minor injuries in the crash, deputies said.
