Boys basketball roundup: BBE Jaguars are simply too much for the Irish

Jan. 13—BROOTEN — The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars dominated Maple Lake en route to a 95-22 victory on Friday at BBE Elementary School.

"It's a team game. It's fun to see the guys cheer for each other on the floor and on the bench as a whole," BBE head coach Chris Anderson said. "It was great to see our reserves get in and get some deeper minutes."

Jaguars senior guard Kaden Pieper led with 28 points. Junior Luke Dingmann had 20 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. All 15 BBE players saw action.

BBE ranks No. 5 in Class A and is 6-2. The Jaguars take on New London-Spicer at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at New London.

"They are very athletic and well-coached. They want to get out on the open floor and get into transition to get open buckets," Anderson said. "They are not one-dimensional. It will take a complete game for us and that starts with defense."
