Boys basketball roundup: Isaiah Foster's triple-double helps Holt to rivalry win
HOLT 69, GRAND LEDGE 59
HOLT — Isaiah Foster recorded the third triple-double in program history, finishing with 15 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds for the Rams in their CAAC Blue win over rival Grand Ledge, He became the first Holt player to record a triple-double since Jaron Faulds did it against Parma Western in 2017 and tied the single-game school record for assists. Carter Bishop had a game-high 20 points and Donye Thomas scored 16 for Holt (9-7, 3-5). Teddy Williams paced Grand Ledge (10-5, 3-3) with 29 points and 23 rebounds.
EAST LANSING 77, EVERETT 57
EAST LANSING — Cameron Hutson picked up a game-high 20 points to lead the Trojans to a CAAC Blue win over Everett. Christian Dunn tacked on 18 points for East Lansing (7-7, 3-3). Nizjai Davidson finished with a team-high 18 points and T.J. Benson scored 11 points for the Vikings (1-16, 0-8).
LESLIE 43, LAKEWOOD 33
LESLIE — Zack Marciniak led all scorers with 15 points to help guide the Blackhawks to a GLAC home victory over Lakewood. Jared Peck picked up nine points and Kaleb Cox chipped in eight points for Leslie (11-4, 6-2). Eli Jablonski scored a team-high 11 points and Troy Acker and Blake Price each added on seven points for Lakewood (9-8, 5-4).
LANSING CHRISTIAN 55, STOCKBRIDGE 47
Benji Sambaer finished with a team-high 20 points to lead the Pilgrims to a GLAC home win over Stockbridge (7-7, 3-6). Judah Schafer notched 15 points and Tim Sullivan tacked on 10 points for Lansing Christian (11-5, 5-3).
OLIVET 54, PERRY 21
PERRY — Bryce Wine knocked down four 3-pointers while scoring 19 points and added four steals and three assists in the Division 2 No. 3-ranked Eagles' GLAC win. Bo Lincoln added 10 points and three assists for Olivet (16-0, 9-0).
BATTLE CREEK PENNFIELD 57, CHARLOTTE 50
CHARLOTTE — Braden Hill paced the Orioles (10-5) with 21 points in their nonleague loss. JV score: Charlotte 41, Pennfield 29.
FREELAND 58, ALMA 43
FREELAND — The Panthers fell into an early 20-7 hole and never got closer than four while suffering the TVC loss. Michael Howey had 12 points and Cade Sutherland added 11 for Alma (9-6, 4-4).
WYOMING LEE 81, SARANAC 47
SARANAC — Isaiah Morgan finished with a team-high 14 points for the Red Hawks in a nonleague loss to Wyoming Lee (13-1). Sam Sterzick added on eight points for Saranac (1-13).
BURTON MADISON ACADEMY 67, MORRICE 23
BURTON —Travis Farrow scored a team-high nine points for the Orioles in a GAC Blue loss to Burton Madison Academy (6-3, 2-0). Drew McGowan added on five points for Morrice (1-13, 0-6).
