Boys Basketball: Scznsny leads Monroe to second win of the season
WYANDOTTE – Drew Scznsny played the best game of his varsity career to help Monroe’s boys basketball team earn its second win of the season Friday night.
Scznsny rang up 14 points and 14 rebounds in a 53-41 triumph over Wyandotte Roosevelt.
“We didn't play our best tonight, but good enough to win,” Monroe coach Larry Middleton said.
The Trojans started fast, building a 12-5 lead in the first quarter.
They were up 31-21 at halftime and 41-25 after three periods. That gave them a cushion to survive a late surge by Wyandotte.
Lukas Johnson added 12 points and Logan Frank 10 for the 2-6 Trojans.
