Polls are now open for the Varsity 845 boys basketball player of the week for January 23-29.
Nominations are pulled from reports sent to Varsity 845. Players from Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties are eligible.
Go to RecordOnline.com/sports and click on the Varsity 845 boys basketball player of the Week. Vote as often as you like (please, no computer bot voting) until 3 p.m. Friday. Winners will be announced via Twitter @Varsity845.
Athletes who win are ineligible for upcoming polls for the next five weeks; all restrictions will be lifted upon the start of championship season. Eugene Johnson of Fallsburg won for the week of Jan. 9-15. There was no poll last week.

He posted 21 points and 12 rebounds as the Goldbacks edged North Rockland 49-46 on Friday.
Trai Kaufmann, Eldred
He scored 24 points as the Yellowjackets beat Webutuck 54-46 on Tuesday.
Jankarlos Mendonza, Monroe-Woodbury
He scored 17 points as the Crusaders rolled over Minisink Valley 67-46 on Friday.
Harrison Neil, Warwick
He scored 17 points as the Wildcats beat rival Washingtonville 52-45 on Friday.
Jaidyn Rutling, Goshen
He scored 22 points as the Gladiators beat Monticello 68-55 on Friday. A day earlier Rutling had 16 in a 64-43 win over Wallkill.
