Boys Louisville Invitational Tournament: Check out winners of Monday's first-round games

Will Crockett score 20 points and Cameron Edwards added 16 to lead the Kentucky Country Day boys basketball team to a 60-52 victory at Holy Cross on Monday in the first round of the Republic Bank Louisville Invitational Tournament.

Antuan Wordlow Jr. hit three 3-pointers and added 13 points for KCD (8-6), which built a 37-28 halftime lead.

The Bearcats will play at fourth-seeded Eastern at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in a second-round game.

Jacob Hand scored 14 points to lead Holy Cross (12-5).

Down nine points at halftime, the Yellow Jackets outscored the host Tigers 43-29 in the second half to get the victory.

Devin Henderson led Central’s balanced scoring attack with 15 points, nailing four 3-pointers. Jenuel Aquino added 14 points, and Kaevon Ennis pitched in 13.

Central (7-9) will play at second-seeded Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in a second-round game.

Tahj Boston score 19 points to lead Fern Creek (5-8).

J’town built a 60-45 lead after three quarters and will play at Manual at 7 p.m. Tuesday in a second-round game.

Nolan Davenport hit five 3-pointers and scored 24 points to lead Bullitt East.

Kaylen Alexander scored 25 points to lead North Bullitt.

Myles Jones scored 25 points to lead Southern.

Moore will play at top-seeded Ballard at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in a second-round game.
