Boys’ Sweet 16: Day 2 wrap-up from the basketball state tournament in Rupp Arena

The 106th UK HealthCare Boys’ Sweet 16 State Basketball Tournament continued with four first-round games Thursday in Rupp Arena.

Male, Lyon County, Frederick Douglass and George Rogers Clark punched tickets to Friday’s quarterfinals in Lexington after Woodford County, Elizabethtown, Warren Central and Ashland Blazer did the same on Wednesday.

Four quarterfinal games were on tap for Thursday.
