Boys swimming: Section 9 grabs five medals at state Fed meet

State Federation results

Finn Quested of Rhinebeck was the lone Section 9 swimmer to place in the top three in the 'A' finals at the state Federation championships on Saturday in Ithaca. Quested took second in the 100-yard freestyle and third in the 100 backstroke.

Warwick senior Jesse Abramson placed fourth in the 200 free.

Goshen senior Luke Albanese placed seventh in 1-meter diving on Friday and junior teammate Grant Moore was ninth.

Section 9 placed ninth out of 11 teams. The Federation meet included swimmers from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, Catholic High School Association and New York City's Public Schools Athletic League.
