BPD releases first-ever Equity Policy 1745
The Baltimore Police Department is implementing an equity policy to treat officers and staff members fairly and provide equal access to resources and promotional opportunities. In 2020, the BPD established its equity office. Now, the department hopes the new policy will further enhance policing, BPD officials told 11 News. BPD Policy 1745 is the department's first-ever equity policy. It is part of transforming the department to address diversity equity, equality, inclusion and anti-racism.
