Brad Paisley Breaks His Silence on the CMA Awards Hosting Drama

From Country Living

Another day, another country music drama.

The CMA Awards made waves earlier in August when they announced Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire will replace Brad Paisley as co-hosts with Carrie Underwood during the 2019 show. Though we’re all for this iconic lady gang, some fans were less than enthusiastic about the change-up, particularly because Brad and Carrie have been the emcees for over a decade.

But what, exactly, does Brad think of the switch? He’s been a staple during the awards for so long, it’s hard to imagine the event without him front-and-center. But true to his gentlemanly nature, Brad is excited for his fellow singers. And he even took to social media to express it.

“As a fan of all 3 of these amazing women, I can’t wait to watch,” he wrote on Twitter alongside a video from the CMA account sharing the news.

His followers were still disappointed, and many responded to his message to ask him to come back next year, or to exclaim that it won’t be the same without him.

While it’s true we’ll miss his adorable moments with Carrie and her bubble-wrap dress—and his slip-ups when it comes to her babies—we can’t wait to see what Reba and Dolly bring to country’s big night. We’re even willing to bet the ladies will share the spotlight for Brad at least one point during the show. Here’s hoping!
