Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, and More Perform Virtual Concerts for Our Military Heroes on Veterans Day

This Veterans Day we may not be having the traditional parades and in-person events honoring our nation's armed forces, but that doesn't mean we're celebrating them any less. If anything, we're feeling especially grateful for their dedication to serve and protect our country in the midst of a global pandemic.

To help honor these heroes during this tough year, nonprofit organization Musicians on Call has stepped up to do something very special to recognize the sacrifices of these brave men and women. Since 1999, Musicians on Call has brought live and recorded music to patients in healthcare facilities from children’s hospitals to adult facilities, VA hospitals and hospices. The group quickly pivoted to virtual programming in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. With programs like their Virtual Bedside Performance Program, Music Pharmacy and the #MOCHeals Playlist they've been able to share the healing power of music to patients, hospital workers, and everyone who is suffering from social isolation amidst the pandemic.

Now, in honor of Veterans Day, the nonprofit is putting on Concert for Veterans, presented by Wrangler featuring Brad Paisley, Jimmie Allen, Leon Bridges, Terri Clark, Sheryl Crow, Scotty McCreery, Michael Ray, and other musicians. The full concert is being shared with Veterans in 144 VA facilities through Musicians On Call’s Virtual Bedside Performance Program and anyone can watch the highlights on Youtube here.

Paisley penned the song with his friend and future producer Frank Rogers while they were both students at Belmont University in Nashville.

What an amazing way to bring people together during these difficult times. We're sure our nation's military heroes will appreciate this thoughtful tribute, and we're grateful we can get a much-needed lift from watching some of the acts, too.
