Heads up, Daytona peeps: You have an A-lister in your midst.

That would be Brad Pitt, who has been spotted all over the place filming a car racing flick, which is still officially unnamed, as per IMDB, but rumored to be called “Apex.”

Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and racing icon Lewis Hamilton, the Formula One-themed movie stars the Oscar winner as a retired F1 driver who mentors a track newbie, Damson Idris, of “Snowfall.” The director is Joseph Kosinski, who most recently helmed “Top Gun: Maverick,” so we’re expecting serious, high octane action.

Speaking of action, keep your phones on selfie mode. Because Pitt’s been out and about soaking up the local racing scene to brush up for his role. The “Fight Club” star, 60, recently attended the Rolex Roar Before 24, the dress-rehearsal style event that leads up to the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway this weekend.

According to the Daytona Beach News Journal, Pitt will be filming at other off-track locations in the area including Pappas Drive-In and Family Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach, which is closed to the public through Monday while the crew is there.

Pitt was just photographed by paps with costar and fellow heartthrob Javier Bardem, who plays a team owner, at a laundromat in the area that was later ID’ed by the Journal as Christina’s Coin Laundry, also in New Smyrna Beach.

The blockbuster is expected out sometime in 2025, after dealing with some delays due to the writers and actors SAG AFTRA strike.
