Bradford County fugitive arrested in Veteran

VETERAN, N.Y. (WETM) — A woman was arrested in Chemung County on a fugitive from justice warrant out of Pennsylvania on Tuesday morning.

Malinda S. Conklin, 34, was arrested in the early morning hours of Feb. 27. According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, deputies discovered that Conklin was a fugitive from justice after investigating a suspicious vehicle that she was the driver of in the Town of Veteran. Deputies arrested her without incident.

Conklin is facing a charge of failure to appear for manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver in Pennsylvania.

Conklin was processed as a fugitive of justice before appearing in the Veteran Town Court. After her court appearance, Conklin was taken to the Chemung County Jail to await extradition to Bradford County.
